"Happiness can only exist in acceptance"- George Orwell

We at Shree Narayana Central School believe in helping children achieve their highest potential in all the areas of life. Today, due to the fast pace of life, societal expectations, cultural shift and economic demands posed by our surroundings, parents and children face a lot of challenges. We provide counseling services for all our parents and children who are in need of any kind of support. Our stakeholders also include teachers. We help them create a positive classroom environment which facilitates the process of learning.

What is counseling?

Counseling is a process of interpersonal interaction between the counselor and the individual who seeks help. The process is purposeful and the aim is to empower the individual and achieve positive mental health.

The concerns that our school counselor can address are:

  • Academic concerns
  • Behavioral concerns

Our work encompasses Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Teacher Training, Parent Meetings, Orientations and Class Sessions. Workshops on the following topics are conducted during the year in accordance with the age level of the children

  • Safe-Unsafe touch
  • Classroom rules
  • Communication skills
  • Bullying prevention
  • Dealing with peers
  • Study skills
  • Coping skills
  • Being eco friendly
  • Language and sensitivity
  • Storytelling sessions
